Nature Conservation Projects

The development and implementation of nature conservation projects are essential activities that form part of the solutions offered by Instituto Ora, which seeks the effective and comprehensive protection of natural habitats.

Fundraising is a strategic and essential stage for the feasibility and sustainability of nature conservation projects promoted by third-sector organizations.

In this context, intending to participate in and support effective nature conservation, Instituto Ora acts as a generator of projects in highly relevant natural areas, consolidated through consistent methodologies and validated by recognized certification systems.

We work on generating various types of projects, including those linked to LIFE Certification with the generation of Biodiversity Credits. In LIFE’s Biodiversity Action Plan (PABS), assessments and scoring of biodiversity conservation actions are carried out, as well as the calculation of Positive Biodiversity Performance and improvements to conservation actions and projects.

Such actions aimed at biodiversity conservation — such as the creation of legally protected areas, development of management plans, installation of protection and maintenance infrastructure, control of exotic species, and reintroduction and monitoring of endangered fauna and flora species — are examples of projects that generate high-value, long-term, cumulative biodiversity credits. However, they require funding for design, implementation, and monitoring.

More than just seeking funding, the process involves building trust and partnerships, presenting well-founded technical and economic proposals with measurable environmental impact and social engagement. Clarity of objectives, transparency in management, and effective communication of results are decisive factors in attracting and retaining funders committed to nature conservation.

Thus, fundraising goes beyond securing funds: it is also a way to strengthen networks, consolidate the organization’s legitimacy, and expand the impact of actions in favor of biodiversity and sustainable development.
